Trade Update - INTC, BMY, & K
Trade Update Hello Smart Option Sellers! Getting this last alert out to everyone before the weekend. Fills went across the tape for both of our new put-sell trades today, although INTC had moved out of range pretty quickly as the stock rallied off the lows. Let's go over the details. Bristol Myers (BMY) Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the BMY June 21, 2019 $36 put options for an official sale price of $.26 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). Fill prices stretched between $.25 to $.28 per contract, with the average falling near $.26 per. If you had your order working today, then you received a fill. Intel Corp (INTC) In response to Intel's earnings from last night, the stock gapped lower about $3.50 to $4 per share at the open, and steadily rose throughout the day. As we know, when stocks rally, put option prices move lower, so it was imperative to get a jump on this trade quickly. Unfortunately, only a lucky handful of members got into this trade. I think in this case, many people had the same idea as us - Intel won't stay down for long, so they jumped on bullish types of trades, including put-sells. The increased volume put pressure on the put option prices which kept many of us out of the game. No worries though, there's still plenty of time left on this trade (June 2019 expiration), and we usually see some residual selling on the stock creep back in after it has a big gap lower. This could potentially pop the put option prices again allowing others to get filled. Be patient, and keep your sell order working "GTC" if you were not filled. Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the INTC June 21, 2019 $32 put options for an official sale price of $.25 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). Sale prices went across the tape between $.25 to $.27 per contract, but we'll take the official mark at $.25 per since we only had a handful of members who were filled. Kellogg (K) We had an open put-sell order working for the Kellogg June 21, 2019 $42.50 put options at $.25 per contract that received some fills this morning right on the open. 178 contracts traded hands that included some of our members. We will call this trade filled for now, but if you haven't sold any contracts yet, keep your sell order working "GTC". Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the K June 21, 2019 $42.50 put options for an official sale price of $.25 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). Just like the BMY & INTC trades, the K trade also expires in June, so I'm hoping we'll have an opportunity for everyone else to get filled. K releases earnings on February 7, so that could be a make-or-break day for us. Stay tuned...
