Trade Results - Verizon & Merck
Trade Results Hello Smart Option Sellers! We entered two new put-sell trades on Friday. Let's go over the results. Verizon We were easily filled on this new trade. Most of the prices went across the tape at $.28 & $.29 per, so we'll take the official mark at $.28 per contract. Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the VZ October 19, 2018 $39 put options for an official sale price of $.28 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). If you did not place your order yet, you can still get filled this morning at the original recommended prices (or better!). Merck (MRK) Unfortunately, only about 100 contracts traded on this one on Friday at our price of $.25 per contract to the first few Smart Option Sellers that got to it quickly. Although I'd like more members involved, we have to follow the trade at this point. Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the MRK October 19, 2018 $45 put options for an official sale price of $.25 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). If you did not get filled, keep your order working "GTC" for now at $.25 per contract or higher. Hopefully we'll be able to see more fills go across the tape. We'll most likely need the stock to drop a bit for that to happen. Square Inc (SQ) Update on SQ: We had been working a potential put-sell trade on SQ for the September 2018 $29 put options that has not been filled yet. The stock moved higher on us from the moment we placed the trade, which has put downward pressure on the put option prices. Let's cancel this trade for now and possibly re-visit in the future. Here's what you need to do: Cancel your sell-to-open order for the SQ September 21, 2018 $29 put options. This was unfortunate, but we'll get 'em next time. That's all for now.
