Trade Results - General Mills

Trade Update - General Mills (GIS) Hello Smart Option Sellers! Let's go over the trade details from Friday's new put-sell play on GIS. With the stock staying relatively subdued during the day, this helped us get filled on the trade. If the stock had bounced, it would've been harder to sell the put option at the prices we needed to. As you know, as stocks go up, put option prices go down. So it's in our best interest to get in quickly before the stock and option prices move away from us. The option traded in a range of $.25 - $.33 per contract during the day, with some early members getting in at the higher levels and those of you later in the day sold near the lower end. Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the GIS July 2018 $40 put options for an official sale price of $.28 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). With the stock down a bit this morning (reverberations from GIS' purchase of Blue Buffalo), if you have not placed your put-sell order yet, you can still do so at favorable prices. The fair value of the $40 put this morning is near $.28-$.30 per contract. Do not sell for anything less than $.25 per contract. Also, for some of our newer members, make sure to check the Current Portfolio (below) as you can still initiate positions on some of our older trades if you have not done so yet. Lastly, if you're paying attention (I'm sure you are), you may have noticed that the stock markets (Dow Jones, S&P, Nasdaq) have gained back a solid amount of what was lost over those few days in early February. In fact, the Nasdaq has gained almost all of its losses back. Incredible, but not surprising. Market drops may seem scary as they're happening, but there's no denying they are great buying opportunities (and put-selling!). That's all for now. Continue to contact me here Regards,
