New Trade!
New Trade! Hello Smart Option Sellers! In the wake of the large sell-off the last few days and somewhat of a bounce-back yesterday, we need to tread lightly in the very near future as volatility is sure to stick around. This will mean large swings for stock prices in both directions. This can be both a blessing and frustration for us as option sellers. As a blessing, it offers us opportunities to establish new put-sell trades, while at the same time, the whipsaw price action could cause us to miss trades that we want to get into. Regardless, we need to strike now and take advantage of the situation. Verizon (VZ) VZ - one of our favorite stocks to use for put-selling. We played it three times successfully in 2017, and this will be our first for 2018. Here's what you can choose to do: Sell (sell-to-open) the VZ July 2018 $39 put options for a limit sell price of $.25 per contract or higher, GTC, as an opening transaction (sell-to-open). Currently, this put option has a $.26 bid/$.32 offer, so we should have no problem getting filled. Once again, in order to get the best possible sale price, DO NOT immediately sell it at the prevailing bid price. Put in your offer a few cents higher, maybe at $.29 or $.30 to start. If no one bites, then you can incrementally move your offer lower. This is how you haggle in the options market. Don't accept the first bid! As far as the market goes, stocks should gyrate over the next few days until it can find its footing. This should keep the volatility high, so I'm hoping that will help us get filled at good prices. Get those orders in now and let us know how you do. That's all for now. Continue to contact me here Regards,
