Trade Update

Hello Smart Option Sellers! Oracle Corp. (ORCL) We were easily filled on Friday on the new ORCL put-sell trade. Most of the fills came in between $.30 - $.31 per contract, so we'll take the official mark at $.30 per. Lots of happy emails came in from Smart Option Seller members about this play. I feel good too. Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the ORCL March 2018 $37 put options for an official sale price of $.30 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). If you have not gotten involved with this new trade yet, you can still do so at the recommended prices. Great job everyone! Emerson Electric Co. (EMR) We currently have an open order working to sell the EMR January 2018 $43 put options for $.25 per contract that we initiated on August 22, 2017. We came very close to getting filled, but the market just wouldn't budge. I've given this trade over a month now to come to fruition and it looks like a lost cause at this point. Not long after we placed our trade, the stock rocketed higher, something that would've completely allowed us to turn a quick profit had we been able to get into the trade. See the chart here. My goal in this service is to get us into a put-sell trade before the stock moves higher. I try to time our trade as close to the turning point as possible. We're not always successful on the timing, but usually pretty close. If the stock keeps dropping, then we have our buffer of using out-of-the-money strikes which usually give us anywhere from 15% - 30% cushion for downside movement. It's rare that we can't get into a put-sell play, but it does happen from time to time. For now, let's put in an order to cancel this pending trade.
