Hello Smart Option Sellers! PureFunds ISE Cyber Security ETF (HACK) We were able to pull in some fills on Friday for the adjusted put-sell trade on HACK, albeit at the low end of the recommended price range. Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the HACK September 2017 $23 put options for an official sale price of $.25 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). I watched the orders for this put option start at the $.35 per contract offer price and then steadily move down to where we got filled at $.25 per contract. You will find that with many index and ETF options that they trade with low volatility because of their multiple stock make-up. As I mentioned, if one stock has a bad quarter, the others are there to stem the overall fall of the fund. This helps keep the fund stable, which in turn keeps the option prices on the lower side. So, we take our fill at $.25 per contract and move on. At this point we sit and wait to see what happens over the next few months (same with our other positions). If we end up buying HACK at $23 per share, then so be it. It will be a great way to get exposure to a handful of very important stocks that are at the forefront of the biggest issue facing our online activities for many years to come - cyber security.
