Another New Trade...And PFE Results

Another New Trade! Hello Smart Option Sellers! Before I get to the results of yesterday's new put-sell trade on PFE, let's jump on another new trade first. No doubt yesterday's 800 point drop in the Dow Industrials was scary. And it probably rattled many of us seeing such a harsh fall. Is this the big one, and is time to sell everything? Of course not! Yes, the there are some troubles out there as I mentioned yesterday (the latest round of U.S.-China tariff stand-off, unrest in Hong Kong, economic slowdown around the globe, and treasury yield inversions). But we can use these market drops to our advantage to sell new high priced put options on great companies. Case in point: Cisco Systems (CSCO) CSCO released earnings after the bell yesterday and is getting hit rather strongly today. Here's the current chart. If you've been with Smart Option Seller for a long time, you know how I love when quality companies take a temporary dive. The drop doesn't last very long as smart investors realize the great bargain at hand. This is also a great time for us to strike. So let's jump into a new position. Here's what you can choose to do: Sell (sell-to-open) the CSCO January 17, 2020 $30 put options for a limit sell price of $.25 per contract or higher, GTC, as an opening transaction (sell-to-open). Currently, this put option has a bid/ask market of $.23 bid/$.27 offer, so let's see if we can get these done today. If you don't get filled today, just keep your order working "GTC". Do not sell for anything less than $.25 per contract. With CSCO stock currently near $47.60 per share, we'll have a solid $17.60 per share cushion, which equates to a fat 37% buffer. Get those orders in there now before reading any further and let us know how you do. Pfizer, Inc (PFE) Yesterday we successfully entered a new put-sell trade on PFE at good prices. By the end of the day, the put option was trading at $.28 bid/$.30 offer, but most of our fills came in around $.27 per contract, so that's where we'll take the official mark. Here's what we did: Sold (sold-to-open) the PFE December 20, 2019 $27 put options for an official sale price of $.27 per contract as an opening transaction (sold-to-open). Great job everyone. If you didn't place your order yesterday, you can still do so today. Ok, that's all for now. Continue to hold all other open positions as-is.
